National Day Against Torture & Human Rights Day Action

To mark the national day against torture we scored some orange jumpsuits. These are the kind that prisoners are forced to wear at Guantanamo Bay Cuba. Human beings are being kidnapped, blindfolded, forced into cages, beaten, humilated and tortured. We do not want to live in a country that treats people like this. Bush and his band of warmaking fanatics have got to go!

We headed to the teach in done by impeach bush folks. We did some guerilla theater in the streets, walking around the crosswalks with the sign that says IMPEACH and the folks in orange jumpsuits and hoods.

Then some folks went to an overpass and held up a banner against torture. Everywhere we were greated by thumbs up, honks and cheers. And the occaisional pro Bush supporter.

We folded up our banner and took off our jumpsuits and made plans to do more theater to go out to the public about what is happening. Kudos to all who supported the events. Let's continue speaking out, taking action, fighting against facism in all its forms.
